Residential Drug and Alcohol Treatment
Unlike most residential drug and alcohol treatment programs, which require only a 30 day stay, Tekuma Recovery Group recommends no less than a 90-day program. (Historically, this 30-day requirement was based on non-clinical factors such as insurance company demands.)
Numerous scientific studies have shown that participants in residential drug and alcohol treatment programs that require less than a 90-day stay are much more likely to relapse than those who stay for at least 90 days. The longer the treatment the greater the likelihood that the participant will maintain sobriety after leaving the program provided that the participant can transition from the residential drug and alcohol treatment program into a structured and supportive environment.
Tekuma Recovery expands the concept of fellowship into a living and working community, functioning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Treatment in such a community takes on a new and powerful significance both for the so-called functioning, and more-or-less non-functioning addict and/or alcoholic. |
